Discounts & Assistance

Family Discounts

Families with more than one student attending Diamond School receive a tuition discount as set out in the Tuition & Fees Schedule. In order to be eligible for a family discount, the students must have at least one shared parent or legal guardian. Cousins are not eligible.

Tuition Assistance Program

We believe that financial considerations should not determine who is able to attend our school. After your child has been enrolled, you may request financial accommodation by completing the following:

  1. write to accommodation@diamondschool.ca explaining your family's situation and specifying the accommodation you request; and
  2. complete an Apple Financial Services application.

Late Enrollment

Students admitted to the school after October pay pro-rated tuition based on the number of months they will be attending. Students admitted on or before October 31 pay full tuition fees for the year.

Fees

New Student Entrance Fee

New students are required to pay a non-refundable Entrance Fee upon acceptance. This is not an application fee and should not be included with the student application. Any Entrance Fees paid prior to receiving an Offer of Admission will be returned, less a $10 administrative fee, and will not be credited to your account or applied to future fees owing.

Consolidated Technology, Resource & Bus (CTRB) Fee

A Consolidated Technology, Resource & Bus Fee (CTRB Fee) is required for all students by grade as set out in the Tuition & Fee Schedule.

This non-refundable fee provides funds for purchases of special technology and educational resources outside of the regular school program, such as shared student computers, robotics equipment, school garden supplies, supplementary books & computer programs, in-house speakers and events, and other incidentals designed to enrich and enhance our school programs. Also included is a bus transportation fee for educational field trips (excluding extended trips). This fee does not include optional field trip admissions, instrument rentals, special lunches, graduation fees, or other optional student expenses.

NSF Fees

There is an administrative charge applied to all payments returned by the bank. If a second payment is returned by the bank, the $50 NSF charge will be applied and payment of the full remaining tuition fees in full may be required. To avoid the fee, please make sure to notify the Finance Committee in advance if you will be unable to make a payment and arrange for an alternate payment method.

B.C Provincial Government Funding

The tuition fees for domestic students (ie. not international students) as set out in the Tuition & Fees Schedule are dependent on the school receiving an operating grant per student from the provincial government. To qualify for this grant, one of a student's parents or legal guardians must be a permanent resident of British Columbia and either a Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant, and the student must attend school for a sufficient number of days. The parent(s)/guardian(s) of students who do not qualify for funding or students who are absent from school for an extended period will be responsible for paying to the school the full amount of the provincial grant not received for their student(s).

Withdrawal Fee

If a student withdraws or is asked to leave for any reason prior to September 30th, the Cancellation Fee as set out in the Tuition & Fee Schedule will be owed. No refunds will be issued after September 30th. Entrance Fees, CTRB fees, and PAD Processing Fees are not refundable.
