Students are accepted for enrollment at Diamond School on an ongoing basis, beginning in the Spring of the same year in which you wish to have your child enrolled (ie. enrollment for September 2019 began in Spring 2019). 


Once registration has begun, parents are welcome to submit new student applications at any time. Due to the number of applications, the Admissions Committee will only be contacting families to schedule an interview when a seat becomes available.


Only children born on or after January 1, 2014 are eligible for enrollment in the 2019-20 school year. 

How to Apply

To apply for admission for the 2019-2020 school year, complete and submit the New Student Application form and all required documentation as outlined on the 2019-2020 Tuition & Fees Schedule (download below). Applications and accompanying documentation may be mailed or emailed to diamondadmissions@shaw.ca


Please note that school tuition and fees are payable upon acceptance, not at time of application (ie. do not send money with your application form). Applications for the 2020-2021 school year will not be accepted at this time.

Information Sessions for Parents

Each year we hold information sessions in the spring for parents and guardians of potential students to learn about our school's philosophy and program. Information sessions for the 2019-2020 school year have now been completed. Upcoming information sessions for the 2020-2021 school year are not available at this time.


Attendance at a Parent Information Session is not a requirement for acceptance into our school. 

Class Visits

If a space becomes available in a grade, individual class and school visits are arranged for the parent and student at that time. The purpose of a visit is for parents and students to learn more about our school's philosophy and program, and for us to meet both you and your child.

New Student Application Checklist

  • We are unable to process incomplete applications. A complete student application includes the following:
  • Completed New Student Application form
  • A copy of the student’s most recent report card (current year), in addition to copies of all the student’s reports for the year immediately preceding the application year
  • A copy of the student’s birth certificates or passports, and immigration documents if applicable
  • A copy of the parents’ birth certificates or passports, and immigration documents if applicable
  • A copy of any court order appointing legal guardianship or regarding care/custody of the student


After receiving an offer of acceptance, you must provide the following to confirm enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year:


  • $350 non-refundable Entrance Fee paid by cheque or cash
  • Consolidated Technology, Resource & Bus (CTRB) Fee paid by cheque or cash post-dated April 1, 2019 (refer to 2019-20 Tuition & Fee Schedule below for amount).
  • Tuition payment:
    • Full Fees Option: Paid by cheque or cash at the time of registration

OR

  • 5-Payment Option: A cheque or cash for the first tuition payment plus PAD Processing Fee, completed Payer’s PAD Agreement + accompanying void cheque for the four (4) pre-authorized debit (PAD) tuition installment withdrawals
